Abstract
The employment of theoretical-practical assignments, projects, casestudies, exams, and activities (hereafter referred to as "activities") are apivotal component in the learning journey for university students, potentially facilitating the assimilation of curriculum competencies andattainment of learning outcomes. However, for optimal effectiveness, students should be exposed to educational challenges that transcend thelower-cognitive demands of memorization and comprehension. Activities should compel them to apply theoretical knowledge and utilizecritical thinking to solve unique practical cases, create original content, etc., within a collaborative environment that requires the use of bothsoft and hard skills (Gallagher and Savage, 2020; Morris, 2020; Romanenko et al., 2023).
