Doctor by the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha with the thesis Papel del acetaminofén en la muerte neuronal 2008. Supervised by Dr. Valentín Ceña Callejo, Dr. Inmaculada Posadas.

I hold a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Salamanca, and a doctorate from the University of Castilla-La Mancha. My doctoral thesis focused on the study of acetaminophen toxic effects, and the mechanism that produces them, in the nervous system and obtained the qualification of outstanding “cum laude” unanimously. During my predoctoral period in which I enjoyed a training scholarship for research personnel FPI from the Ministry of Science and Technology and participated in other additional research lines. Along with its most experimental and research part, the predoctoral period allowed me to carry out resource management tasks, decision-making, establishment of collaborations, various publications were generated and contributed to national and international congresses. During the beginnings of my postdoctoral research period I made a stay at the Cajal institute of the CSIC that allowed me to learn and perform techniques that improved my training and my scientific production, also worked in the nanotechnology company Nanodrugs S.L. hired with a Torres Quevedo scholarship. Later, I decided to explore my other vocation, which is teaching. Therefore, I prepared and presented to oppositions for entry into the body of Secondary Education Teachers by the specialty of Biology and Geology in the autonomous community of the Region of Murcia and in the autonomous community of Castilla-La Mancha convened in 2010. Obtaining excellent grades in both (9.43 out of 10, and 8.11 out of 10, respectively). This allowed me to work as an interim secondary education teacher and reinforce my teaching vocation. At the beginning of 2014 I joined the European University of Madrid (Madrid) as a Doctor Professor, teaching undergraduate studies in the subjects of cell biology (course 2013/14 to date), genetics (courses 2013/14 and 2014/15), and histology I (course 2015/16 to date) in the degree of Medicine. I have also taught the subject of cell biology and genetics in the degree of Dentistry (course 2014/15). In addition, from 2014 to date I have been a practice teacher of multiple subjects (Among others: Physiology, Biochemistry, Anatomy and Physiology, Cell Biology, Histology, Genetics, Cell and Tissue Biology) taught, both in English and Spanish, in various degrees (among others: Pharmacy, Dentistry, Physiotherapy, Medicine, Podiatry, Nursing, Psychology and Biotechnology). In addition, at the European university I have also carried out follow-up classes to help students in the preparation of the extraordinary July call exams (for two weeks each course), in all courses from 2014-2015 to date. And I have performed the task of mentor of first year students of Medicine of the European University (from course 2014-2015 to 2019-2020). At the European University of Madrid, I have also assumed the role of coordinator of the subject of Cell Biology of the degree in Medicine of the European University of Madrid since the 2014/15 course to date. I have been the coordinator of the Basic Biomedical Sciences I and II teaching laboratories at the European University, from 2017 to September 2019. The total hours of teaching at the European University of Madrid: approximately 5500 hours
