Veronica Moral is Tenured Professor in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, teacing subjects related with 'Omics' Sciences and Technologies at the Department of Health Sciences. She began her research career in 'Fundación Jiménez Díaz' (Madrid, Spain) under the supervision of Dr. Fernando Vivanco and Dr. Jose Tuñon in the area of Cardiovascular Proteomics, obtaining a PhD degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Complutense University of Madrid in 2008. Then she joined the Proteomics Unit of the Hospital Nacional de Paraplejicos (Toledo, Spain), in a first postdoctoral stage, perfecting knowledge and skills in this field. In 2015, she started a second postdoctoral stage in a center of international prestige such as 'Vesalius Research Center', belonging to the Flanders Biotechnological Institute (VIB) and the University of Leuven (KU Leuven) in Belgium, acquiring skills in the field of metabolomics. Next, she joined Universidad Europea de Madrid, actively participating in various research lines and obtaining ANECA accreditation. Her research lines have been focused on the study of the vascular system from an ‘omics’ perspective and her scientific production includes more than 30 communications and papers presented at national and international conferences. She has contributed to more than 30 scientific publications, most of them in specialized SCI magazines, including some with a high impact index. It is also worth mentioning her contribution in various book chapters and national and international patents.
