I have a degree in Biology, with specialties in Marine Biology and Animal Biology, from the University of Santiago de Compostela (2005-2011). Subsequently, I studied the Master's Degree in Neuroscience, specializing in Cellular and Molecular Neurobiology, at the Universities of Santiago de Compostela, A Coruña and Vigo (2011-2012). In 2013 I joined as Honorary Collaborator to the Department of Physiology (Animal Physiology II) of the Faculty of Biological Sciences of the Complutense University of Madrid (2013-2014), where I continued with a Predoctoral Research Contract in Training (FPI) to pursue a PhD in Biology (2015-2019, International Mention, qualification of Outstanding "Cum Laude"). Throughout this period I have made several stays in foreign and national centers: 4 months in the laboratory of Prof. Dr. Daniele Piomelli, at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (Genoa, Italy) and a total of 3 months (3 stays of 1 month each) in the laboratory of Prof. Dr. José Luis Soengas, at the Laboratory of Animal Physiology of the Faculty of Biology of the University of Vigo (Spain). During this period, I have participated in 3 competitive research projects in Spain, being a member of the working team in 2 of them. I have been a member of the consolidated research group UCM 910438 - Fish Neuroendocrinology (NENDOPEZ). As a result of my research, I am author of 17 publications (1 of them still under review), 14 of which with impact index (indexed in JCR), with a total of 84 citations and an H index = 5 (source Web of Science, FECYT). Since November 2019 I am a PhD Professor at the European University of Madrid (UEM), obtaining the position of Full Professor in Biology in December 2022. I teach, both in Spanish and English, in different subjects of the Degree in Dentistry. In addition, I am the coordinator of two subjects in which I also teach. Currently, I am a member of the research groups "Physiology and Visual Pathology associated with the use of Technological Devices" and "BrainMind", both belonging to the UEM.
