Resumen
The Spanish travel agencies sector is suffering in the recent years an important transformation. The number of agencies has been reduced drastically and the composition of the industry has also been altered. A growing percentage of online agencies is displacing those that do their work in a traditional way, not only in terms of outlets but also market share. This article presents an approach to the division’s criteria between traditional and online agencies. It also provides an overview of the current composition and development of the industry.
