Doctor by the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha with the thesis Los campos de futbol de césped artificial en Castilla-La Mancha. Hacia un modelo de seguridad, funcionalidad deportiva y satisfacción de sus usuarios. 2009. Supervised by Dr. Leonor Gallardo Guerrero.

PhD in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences and Master Degree in Sport Mangament. He currently works as a professor at European University of Madrid and as director of the Executive MBA in Sports Management of Real Madrid Graduate School. Previously, he has worked as a professor at University of Castilla-La Mancha (Spain), Camilo José Cela University (Spain) and Pablo de Olavide University (Spain). Specialist in sport management (mostly about football management), he teaches in different national and international postgraduate courses in the modules of Sports Planning Models, Economic and Financial Management of Sports; Sports Equipment and Facilities, etc. Also, he works as a Match Delegate for LaLiga (Spanish Professional Football League), official representative of LaLiga at the operational level in the stadium, coordinating the media, marketing, safety and brocasting procceses in each football match. As a principal researcher of the Sport Management European Reseach Group, he has two six-year terms recognized by the Spanish Ministry of Education and is the author/co-author of 7 books, 53 articles in international impact indexed scientific journals and 225 articles in national popular magazines on sports management. H-Index: 19. He has directed 6 doctoral theses related to the sport management. His main areas of research are the economic impact and satisfaction of sporting events, eSports, and the relative age effect in Sports. He used to be professional referee of the Royal Spanish Football Federation. In 2013 he received the 1st Prize for Excellent Teaching Practices from the Camilo José Cela University.
