Mateus Porto Schettino is an architect and urban planner from the University of Brasília (2003), has the Diploma of Advanced Studies (2009) and is currently developing his doctoral thesis in the doctoral program "Peripheries, sustainability and urban vitality", of the Department of Urban Planning of the Polytechnic University of Madrid Lecturer of urban planning at the School of Architecture, Engineering and Design at the European University of Madrid since 2009, he combines the academic and research activity with the professional practice of consultancy, planning of urban mobility and design of public space. With experience in Brazil, Spain, Portugal and Tanzania, where he has collaborated on architecture projects, urban and sustainable mobility plans, he has directed and coordinated mobility studies, training programs for municipal technicians, citizen participation processes and safe routes to school initiatives.
