Abstract

The paper below reviews the assimilation model, addressing in more depth the characteristics of the construct bridges of meaning. The theory of assimilation is a model of psychological change when problematic experiences are faced. In addition, an effort will be made to theoretically relate the phases in the two chair work for self-critical splits to the levels of the Assimilation of Problematic Experiences Scale (APES). Thus, we intend to provide guidance on work with this task depending on the level of assimilation of the problematic experience.
