The European culture in the XVIII century witnesses the arrival of Aesthetics as a Philosophical subject. The observation of the nature and the cognitive possibilities that it provides, boost considerable research offering a source of inspiration not only for the Art but also in the development of a thought capable of turn the Aesthetics exploration in the world into a cultural testimony of a period. The metaphor of the journey and, in particular the perception of river banks, seas and oceans, allows us to show better some Aesthetics of the Beauty and Sublime which spur a writing of the I shipped in the elixir of its own History until its progressive dissolution.
