Abstract
War in Ukraine has aggravated and intensified the planetary crisis. Produced in a context of conflicts, progressive social and environmental imbalances, meager reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, and uneven development of the main economies that prioritize production and consumption of fossil fuels. The prolongation of the Russian invasion in Ukraine not only has significant negative impacts on human rights, but economic and social effects that undermine international security and trust in institutions, causing concern for the environment to take a backseat.
