The aim of this study is to evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and limitations of innovative learning spaces in Spain. For this purpose, a SWOT analysis is carried out on aspects that can influence the implementation of innovative learning spaces such as the Classroom of the Future as a starting point for the implementation of this space at the European University of Madrid. A total of 22 responses were analysed. The analysis focuses on the data extracted from an instrument addressed to teachers of all educational stages and students from 3rd year of ESO. As for Weaknesses, related to current needs that would imply negative aspects that should be modified, the questions refer to factors such as lack of strategic or research culture, lack of motivation or lack of knowledge of the project, lack of training in educational innovation and lack of financial resources. Regarding the Threats or those that represent potential risks and should be prevented, questions were asked about the lack of training in the use of new technologies by teachers, inadequate financing models or the effect of legislative changes on teaching. Moving on to the Strengths or positive aspects to be maintained or reinforced and which are specific to the educational center or educational community, questions related to a motivated and involved team, a high level of ICT implementation in the educational community, a good training of the teaching staff, as well as a good availability of financial resources were considered. Finally, in terms of factors related to Opportunities or potential capacities and resources present in the environment and susceptible of being taken advantage of, questions were posed regarding aspects such as a dynamic and complex environment that forces continuous change and adaptation, favorable legislative changes, adequate teacher-student ratios and institutional support. The results are considered an approximation of the reality that should be expanded to become representative of the educational community.
