Résumé

The situation of global health pandemic that we live and the measures taken to alleviate it, such as home confinement, have turned out to be situations that, due to their extraordinary nature, are prone to cause a psychological impact on people, especially if they are more vulnerable to being suffering from a mental health disorder, as in the case of Eating Disorders. Consequently, the objective of this work was to study whether and how this home confinement influenced the food and emotional symptoms of people with this diagnosis, and whether it affected them differently from the general population. To do this, during this period an online questionnaire was administered to two groups of participants, both consisting of 50 women, 100 participants in total. Participants diagnosed with ACT had a mean age of 29.08 (SD=7.86) and participants without ACT had a mean of 31.60 (SD=7.63). The questionnaire, created specifically for the study, included sociodemographic and clinical, emotional and psychological variables, and also included the Neff Self-Compassion Questionnaire (SCS). The results showed significantly worse coping with stressors by people with ACT, although not a significant increase in psychological symptomatology. Likewise, two variables were very relevant in order to improve the experience of upcoming confinements, coexistence and self-compassion.
