Abstract

Saudi Arabia is one of the most important states in the Middle East and the Arab sphere. Its political, religious, economic and energy capacities allow it to be a central actor in the regional context. However, conflicts and crises that arise in the local environment become a direct threat to their position of power. The Saudi monarchy is adapting its defense policy in order to respond to the main challenges and problems in the area. Saudi leaders seek to improve the country's military means to protect its interests abroad and ensure internal stability. The study of the Saudi Arabia’s defense policy is carried out based on the theoretical principles of foreign policy analysis, which studies the actions of state agents in the international context based on exogenous and endogenous factors.
