Abstract

The participation to the second edition of the “Excellence Award Laureate for RoboticsEngineering”, focused on the theme of the environment management, has resulted inthe development of a robotic system, called JUBA-II, which a mobile robot with an onboard instrumentation for measuring certain environmental parameters. This system isvery oriented to children and young people, to help them to raise their awareness, tostrengthen their love for Nature and the environment and, foster, at the same time theirinterest in technology, science and engineering. JUBA-II allows to measure and collectdata, investigate and learn about air pollution, and also to learn about mechanics, electronics and programming, in an entertaining and fun way.
