Abstract
In Sustainable Urban Drainage systems, the correct characterisation of design stormwater loads has an important influence on their scaling. This article focuses on the method employed to determine the value of the percentiles used in the definition of the objectives to reduce the volumes of Surface water run-off and improve the quality of the stormwater in the design of the SUDS (functional operation). In the study carried out there was seen to be a considerable variation in the estimation of the value of the volumetric percentiles according to the methodology employed and that, at the same time, the use of one percentile ar another had a considerable bearing on the scaling of the SUDS.
