Abstract
The objective of this article is to show several experts’ assessment of the functioning of the so-called “apprenticeship and training contracts” as a tool for giving dual vocational training in Spain a stronger labour component. The central axis of analysis is articulated around its capacity to facilitate work insertion of young people as a requirement for improving their employability. The methodology, based on a qualitative approach, focuses on the empirical material obtained in the interviews carried out. As for the comparison between the “extension period” (2012/2015) and the “training-related period” (2016/2018), it analyses the evolution of this contract modality. The paper closes with a conclusions section.
