Abstract
It is a stablished dogma that capitalism comes hand in hand with the so called Western modern societies. Liquid metaphors have been used to illustrate this scenario, as seen in Deleuze-Guattari or Bauman, outstanding examples. Total flux decoding, liquid capitalism… Why was the mentioned system not born in other civilizations or similar liquid circumstances? What barrier stopped its development? This article analyses in-depth the ontological conditions for the birth of capitalism and places its birth way back in time.
