Abstract

Dermoscopy has proven to be a useful non-invasive diagnostic technique for the diagnosis of melanoma. Several algorithms have been described trying to reach a standard criterion for the evaluation of dermoscopic patterns and structures. Nonetheless, they often result subjective and too observer-dependent. The application of these algorithms in daily practice can be unpractical and unreliable.
