Abstract
Europe has to overcome its existential crisis in the face of terrorism, the economic crisis, the arrival of refugees and the rise of populism. The Global Strategy for Foreign and Security Policy is a proactive tool that legitimates the survival of the EU, reaffirms it as a relevant player in the most immediate and global scenario, and catapults it as a global security provider. The Global Strategy is a first step towards a stronger, integrated, autonomous and credible EU with civil and military capacity and acting with a common vision.
