Abstract
Generally speaking, this communication is discussed the leading role played by the nationalist factor in one of the most important phenomena of the twentieth century as is the decolonization of Asia and Africa. For this purpose the communication structure presents, on the one hand, an introductory theoretical part where is exposed the incidence of (anti-) colonial nationalism in those most unique Afro-Asian decolonization processes of the middle decades of the twentieth century; and on the other hand, are analyzed a number of causes and factors of great importance in the creation of the (anti-)colonial nationalist movements of the midcentury.
