Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine changes in the heart rate, blood lactate and creatinkinase (ck) concentration and perceived effort (RPE) before, during and after a race of 24 hours per relay. We analyzed the 8 subjects (33 ± 6.9 years, 172.6 ± 3 cm, 69.3 ± 8.7 kg) participating in the race Ruta de la Plata was to travel the 340 km separating Castillo de las Torres (Sevilla) and Baños Montemayor (Cáceres) did relay 20 in length during the race. . Four samples were taken during the race. The results show that Ck increased significantly during the race. Lactate concentration had a peak in the second sample (5.3 ± 2.4 mmol / l) and after this sample was maintained at values close to 4 mmol / l (4.1 ± 1.6 mmol / l in the 3rd sample, and 4.3 ± 1.5 mmol / l in the last sample). Heart rate averaged 150.5 ± 20.6 p / m presenting a maximum value on the second sample (169 ± 8.7 p / m) and from this down to the last sample. RPE values decreased in the course of the competition.
