Abstract
To identify a cadaver, it is necessary to determine a series of parameters, including age. Teeth are the structures of the human corpse which are the most resistant to the action of extrinsic agents, which makes them important to the identification of human remains and to the study of ancient populations.There are many useful studies for determining age in the adult using teeth. These are based on changes in dental tissues over time. Of all factors related to age, the best one to determine it, is radicular transparency. All methods which use radicular transparency are based on the study of sections of teeth. The method we propose is faster and easier to reproduce, since Xray plates are used and an image analyser which measures the degree of radicular transparency.
