Résumé

The appearance of a pneumomediastinum associated to cervical subcutaneous emphysema is a rare complication in oral and maxillo-facial surgery. Three cases are presented, each one of them with a different cause; in two, pneumomediastinum was unchained after cervical subcutaneous emphysema, descending via, and the other after intraoperatory barotrauma lung . Because it is a potential cause of complications covering antibiotic prophylaxis is recommended.
