Doctor by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid with the thesis Control adaptativo descentralizado para robots manipuladores 1995. Supervised by Dr. Manuel Ángel Armada Rodríguez.

Nourdine Aliane obtained his Electrical Engineering degree in 1990 from the École Nationale Polytechnique d’Alger, and his Ph.D. in physics in 1995 from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He was granted a scholarship (FPI) to enroll in the IAI Institute (Instituto de Automática Industrial, CSIC) from 1991 to 1995, where he participated in multiples projects related to control systems and robotics, and where he developed his Ph.D. thesis. He was hired at the Universidad Europea de Madrid, (UEM) as a full time teacher in 1995, where he combines his teaching and research. He is accredited as fulll profesor by the ACAP and ANECA Spanish agencies, and he is as tenured professor since 2010 and university professor since 2022. His teaching subjects are related to automatic robotics, control systems and industrial informatics. His research interests include control systems and Intelligent Transportation Systems. He has participated in more than 20 projects, and he authored more than 60 papers, where 15 of them are published in journals with impact factor.
