Abstract

Introduction: Screw loosening is one of the most frequent mechanical complications in dental implants. A fundamental factor for the success of implants is stability, for which the connection of the implant with the abutment plays a decisive role. There are different designs for both implants and abutments, which could be classified into external, internal (usually hexagonal) connections and, within the latter, the conical connection. On the other hand, there are abutments with angulation between 10º and 30 º degrees, according to the different commercial houses to rehabilitate non-parallel implants.
